Primary Maths Grades
Grade Year 6 Maths
Sixth grade math goes beyond the basics of addition, subtraction, multiplication.
Usually ages 5-6 years, introduces students to the basics.
Math in fifth grade is a time to master the concepts acquired to this point.
Third graders work on complex multiplication and division.
Usually ages 6-7 years, builds on the basics and introduces students to assessments.
Second graders are introduced to fractions, and build on their knowledge.
The math strands covered are number sense and operations, algebra, geometry ect.
